Welcome back to the 2020-2021 school year!
We know that this year will not look like any other we’ve experienced, but we share in the belief time spent together – whether in-person or virtual – is the most valuable part of the education experience.

USD 231 participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program. Breakfast menus are planned to meet 1/4 of the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for students and 1/3 of the RDA at lunch, based on age-appropriate standards. Students may select the foods that they wish to eat. Under the offer vs. serve program students must take at least three food groups daily including a fruit or vegetable. A la carte items are available at Pioneer Ridge, Trail Ridge, Wheatridge, and GEHS.
The food service department uses Skyward Point of Sale, a computerized system that allows students to prepay any amount into their child's account. When the student selects a meal, the amount is deducted from the account. All funds in student accounts are carried over each year.
District policy states that all meals are to be paid for in advance. Please refer to your child's school handbook which outlines the account management guidelines for his/her building.
The District Wellness Committee meets annually and establishes and reviews Wellness goals.
