Fourth graders at Sunflower Elementary brought history to life while celebrating Kansas Day through their creative wax museum project! Each student researched a notable individual who made an impact on Kansas and then transformed into that figure in costume for the event.
As visitors stopped at each display, studentscame alivein their portrayals, stepping out of their “wax” poses to deliver short, informative speeches in character. They shared key facts about their individual’s life and explained why that person’s contributions were important to the state, demonstrating both strong research skills and confident public speaking. The fourth graders did an outstanding job honoring Kansas Day and should be proud of the knowledge, effort, and enthusiasm they displayed.
